Meeting Rob Schneider

Today, I went to blockbuster and saw a random line of people in the middle of the store down one aisle. At first I just thought they were friends who were chatting. Then, I see more people line up behind them. I had no idea what they were lining up for, and then I see a table. On the table, I see a flier that says meet Rob Schneider today from 5-7 and it said you can get your picture and his autograph. So, I decided to stand in line. I got to meet Rob Schneider today. He is a very nice man. It was so nice of him to autograph things and let people take their picture with him. I told him thanks for doing that, and I knew people probably always asked him. He was just so nice and down to earth, and seemed the opposite to me of the characters he plays in the movies. He was promoting a new movie he has coming out in September.




I got him to sign the paper I had from Blockbuster. He had very nice pictures to sign, but I think it is cool to have his autograph on the paper that says the day and time on it. Also, I got a picture with him. I called Chase and he came up after work and got his picture too, which I took so It is a little blurry. Then Ben wanted to go by and see him. Surprise!!!!

The weekend started out by having dinner with Deals and her husband and Ben and myself. We all met at California Pizza Kitchen for dinner and hung out and talked. Saturday I spent hanging out and watching TV all day, which was nice. Sunday Ben came back from Austin and I had lunch with my Mom. When, I came over she had flowers, and she told me she got them on sale. My response was something along the lines of ok, that's nice. Then we went to lunch and came back and put my left over soup in the fridge and we went for a walk. My mom told me she could only go for a bit and was tired and wanted to take a nap. So, when we came back I went on back to my place and watched some TV and played some Mario for a bit. Then, I texted Ben to see if he was back and he said he was on his way to my place. We went to McDonald's and got some drinks and back to his place. While at his place he showed me his sail boat he had brought back from Austin with him. Then, I watched some show over there and fell asleep for a bit. Then 15 min. later I woke up and watched more of the show. Then I heard Ben upstairs, wondering what on earth he was doing. Then, he came down all dressed nicely. When I asked why he said well I did not want to wear shorts to dinner. I bought that, and he asked if I wanted to go to my place. So, we went over and I decided to change cloths, from my shorts and tee-shirt to something more nice.

Ben and I went to dinner and while at dinner I got a text from my Mom. It said want to come by and get your soup that you left? I was about to text back that I would get it tomorrow, Ben was like what does that say. So I told him and he said sure we can go by. My thinking was well, ok if you want to. So as we waited and waited for the bill, I noticed Ben looking at his phone for the time and then was frustrated by having the hostess charging the wrong amount on his card by about 100 dollars. He ran to the car and drove crazy over to my parents house.

When we arrived there were cars all over, and I thought it was a neighbor's high school kids having a party. So, I told Ben to park in the drive way. As he did I saw my Dad, and dogs in the front. My dad was asking us about dinner and as we walked in my face dropped. There were about 50 people over who all said happy birthday as I walked in. I was stunned, and trying to figure out what was going on for a bit. My Mom did a great job of pulling off the best surprise party, and Ben too. Ben did an amazing job of getting me changed and over there :)

Job Interview

Today I had a great interview at a local private school for an assistant teaching position. I will keep you all updated. Happy almost weekend

working with little kids

I have been working this summer at a local private school in their tutoring program. This program meets everyday for three hours in the AM. I work the first hour one on one and the last hour one on one. The middle hour is spent working with a small group of eight 5-7 year olds. Two are going into kindergarten and the rest are going into first grade. Well, the other day we were working on our lesson and one kid offers to pay me 2 dollars. Then the other kids offer to bring in money if we could not do what we were working on. At the time I was trying to not laugh cause it was funny seeing little kids trying to "pay me off" for good behavior. At the time one of my supervisor's was in the room and myself, the supervisor and my two assistants were all laughing. I told the students thanks for their offer but they should keep their money. Then they kept asking if I or any other grown ups had money with us, they think adults always have cash with them. It was pretty amusing.

4th of July 2010

This past weekend was so much fun! Friday Ben and I just hung out and had lunch and stayed in with all the rain. Saturday, Ben and I went to IKEA and got some new stuff for his new place. Then, we went to see Toy Story 3. If you have not seen Toy Story 3, then go and see it. It was such a great movie for both kids and adults.

Sunday Ben and I drove up to the lake house and hung out with my family. We went out boating and skiing and I have some red shoulders now. I am healing, slowly but surely. Then, Ben and I went fishing off the dock at the lake. Ben caught two fish and threw them back. Then, we had dinner and watched a lot of fire works from the neighbors and the ones we did.

Monday, we went to the local parade and watched it. It was so much fun! I enjoyed seeing all of the floats and people that were at the parade. Afterwords, Ben and I went and hand lunch with his family. Then we just came back and hung out and played a little Wii.

So, all and all it was a great weekend with lots of fun activities. Now to rest this week.
