first wedding of the season

Last Saturday, April 14th B and I went to our first wedding of the wedding season. It was a good friend that I grew up with. The wedding was a lot of fun and everyone had a great time. The reception was held at the new DCC which has recently opened. It was so much fun to see a reception there. As you walked in there was a bar at the far end of the entry to the ballroom and a photo booth where everyone could get their pictures taken. The photo booth was a bug hit and a lot of fun. Once in the ballroom there was a band playing in the far end and then there were the cakes and three food stations. The food stations were good and so was the wedding cake. My favorite food station was the one with the potato's and the toppings to go with it. The favor was really fun and unique. It was sun glasses, like the kind that has plastic sides with writing on them. The sides were very colorful and reminded me of the 1990's with the bright colors and on the sides had the bride and groom's name and the wedding date. Very inventive and different. So, that was the start of our wedding season with one wedding down and a few more to go including, ours. This Saturday we are going to another wedding. Wedding info and other thoughts

Today is the junior garden clubs annual flower show. As a new member I had to submit something. Lucky I had a lot of help and everything inset up and ready to go. Now this afternoon I will be able to go and look at all the entries. Also, next week I am moving back in with my parents and then May 7 I have my final exam for my class due. I have two papers to write. Also Saturday the 14th is a good friends wedding. More to come on that. In wedding news I had my final dress fitting and am all ready for my portrait that is on Monday. monsday also marks the 2 month mark until the wedding. We also learned yesterday tht our minister for our wedding is leaving immediately from the churchnbecause of health issues. So now with 8 weeks Togo we are picking a new minister for the wedding. Keep your fingers crossed that this person will beagle to do the ceremony. If not then back to the drawing board.

I don't think we are in Kansas anymore

Today has been insane. We have had tornados all afternoon all around us. I ended up going over to my parents house to check with the dogs. Let me tell you, there were two very scared dogs today. At one point myself and the dogs were sitting in the bathroom with my iPhone, house phone and iPad. We had several alarms going off all afternoon. So, today was just a crazy weather day. So far everyone I know is ok.

April already?

I can not believe that it is April already time is goimg so fast. We have about 2 and a half months to the wedding with so many upcoming events. I am in the midst of moving back in with my parents and then will be moving in with B in June. So many big changes in such little time. I am taking a grad school class that is going well. I am looking forward to signing up for new classes for the fall semester. This month we have Easter, two friends weddings, and a party for us. So many fun things. More to come on those events later.
