This weekend I heard the news of a class mate of mine who suddenly died. Now, I did not know him as well as some but still it made me sad to hear the news. All I could think of is how fragal life is and how you never know how long you have here in this world. Tom, was a person who touched many and which has become apparent in the last few days. Now this is nothing new to me in knowing him, but is nice to see how my peers are coming together as one to be with Tom's family at this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers go out to his sister and his twin brother as well has his parents.
As I have grown up I as well as my peers have experienced the loss of a friend at one point or another. That time is always and will always be a hard time, but living in such a great community it is neat to see how everyone comes together as one to help those around get through the hard times and be there for the happy times as well. Sometimes it takes a tragedy to bring people together and remember the times with the person who is no longer with us. One thing that comes to mind that I saw on a TV show not too long ago and I think it is fitting here. When someone dies or passes on they are not really dead. The reasoning for this is because that person will live on in the thoughts and memories of all those that he or she touched in their life time. So, here is to Tom and that he will live on in everyones thoughts in the days, weeks and years to come.
