The saying a penny for your thought is often said when people are talking about how much thoughts are worth I would think. However, have you ever thought about money and the currency used in the United States? I have thought of many questions about different items over the years, I guess you could say that I am someone who enjoys learning all the time. Sometimes, I enjoy just sitting and thinking of things and always want to know why something happens or how it works. I enjoy learning and believe that learning never ceases to exist and shows itself in many forms for many people. My method is by questioning things and thinking about them.
Currently, I have been thinking about money I have had many thoughts and questions go through my head ( see below in no particular order)
1. Who was on the money we use today back in the day. For example, Abraham Lincoln is on the Five Dollar bill as well as the penny. So who was on those before him?
2. Who decides what president or figure in history got to be put on money and how did they decide which money to put them on ( example: the dollar, quarter, etc)
3. Who decides how much money to print each year and do they take into account old bills still in used?
4. If there was a new bill introduced today what value would it be and who would decide who to put on the new money?
5. How much longer will pennies actually be in use?
These are just some of thing things in which I have been thinking about lately and thought I would share them with you, the reader. So enjoy the thought for the day in my life so far.

I'm glad you brought up those points. It reminded me how much I loved currency. I much prefer to pay for things with cash than by check or debit card. I don't know why, but it's fun to pay for things with paper and coin. Maybe it's because it's the same way people have paid for things for centuries? Maybe not. I mean, check books have been around for a long time. Still. Paying by cash is fun.
