Well, the last two days in Dallas have been interesting. For those of you reading this that are not from here I am sure you will think down here we are pretty silly. Yesterday an ice storm was rolling in all day. It is called an arttic ice storm coming down from Alaska, at least that is my understanding from the weather people.
Yesterday, there were many businesses and schools closing early because of the threat of bad weather and ice coming this way. Last night I went to the Tate Lecture at SMU and when I got out the really bad weather had arrived and lots of ice was coming down. This morning I woke up and checked the news and everything was closed or cancelled until the late afternoon. So, now the weather is slightly better in the sunny spots, but still bad in the shady spots and some streets are finally thawed out enough to drive on, however the temperature is still below freezing. We will see what tomorrow will bring.
