On June 16, 2012 B and I tied the knot. It was so much fun. It was everything I thought it would be and more. The weekend started out on Friday the 15th of June with a mani/pedi party for the house party, bridesmaids, my mom and myself. Then we went to the bridesmaids luncheon that was hosted at my Aunt and Uncle's house which used to be my grandparents house. So, it was very special. Then, my Mom and I got our hair done for the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. The rehearsal went great, and everything was really sinking in. The rehearsal dinner was so much fun. It was outside at DCC and we had great food. After the dinner there were a few short speeches by my family and B's family. It was really special.
The wedding day was so much fun. It started out with my bridesmaids meeting me at my parents house to get their make up and hair done for the big day. We had lunch, talked and played with my niece's dolls. Then it was time to go to the church. We got to the church and got dressed. After that we took our before pictures with everyone and time was going fast. Then, before the wedding was to start the minister came in and prayed with us and let us know it was time to start the wedding. We walked in and I waited to make my entrance with my Dad. As we were standing there I got really nervous but everyone calmed me down and as I walked down the isle everything was great. We said our vows and heard the sermon the minister gave and before we knew it we were officially married. After the ceremony we took pictures with the whole wedding party and of the two of us. We are looking forward to seeing these as we have not seen to many pictures yet.
Next, my parents took us to the reception where we had food waiting for us before we went in, which was the best idea ever. Because as the bride and groom you really don't get much time to just sit down. As we came in and were announced it was very surreal and then we had our first dance as man and wife. Then I had the father daughter dance and B had the mother son dance. We were so glad to do these at the beginning cause then we were able to talk with friends and family. The grooms cake was a BIG hit with everyone, it was a giant Dickey's yellow BBQ cup, which is the groom favorite BBQ place.
As we cut the cake I have never seen so many people taking pictures and video at that time and the whole nite. The cute thing was the little kids all lined up with their plates ready for cake. The funny thing was after we cut into the cake and the photographer said for us to eat some I almost put it in my mouth and he was like, no give it to B. Haha So, then I did give it to him. Then, we talked with more friends and family and had our final dance and left for our hotel for the evening. We both have had a great first month of being married and look forward to many many more.

second wedding of the season
Last Saturday, April 21st we went to our second wedding of this year. It was a lot of fun. The wedding was the first catholic wedding that we had been to. The reception was at DCC and was so much fun. We had a great time seeing friends and seeing the DCC and how it looked so different from one week to the next. The food was great and it was fun seeing everyone. I really liked how they had the food stations set up and how they had the band set up on the opposite side as the weekend before. It was fun to see one place look so different and have a great time getting ideas too.

first wedding of the season
Last Saturday, April 14th B and I went to our first wedding of the wedding season. It was a good friend that I grew up with. The wedding was a lot of fun and everyone had a great time. The reception was held at the new DCC which has recently opened. It was so much fun to see a reception there. As you walked in there was a bar at the far end of the entry to the ballroom and a photo booth where everyone could get their pictures taken. The photo booth was a bug hit and a lot of fun. Once in the ballroom there was a band playing in the far end and then there were the cakes and three food stations. The food stations were good and so was the wedding cake. My favorite food station was the one with the potato's and the toppings to go with it. The favor was really fun and unique. It was sun glasses, like the kind that has plastic sides with writing on them. The sides were very colorful and reminded me of the 1990's with the bright colors and on the sides had the bride and groom's name and the wedding date. Very inventive and different. So, that was the start of our wedding season with one wedding down and a few more to go including, ours. This Saturday we are going to another wedding. So, stay tuned for more wedding adventures to come!
