What's For Dinner: Dr. Pepper BBQ

I found this great recipe on Facebook for Dr. Pepper pork BBQ. I substituted beef for the pork. It was so good that I cannot wait to make it again. I highly recommend this one and it is so easy.

Dr. Pepper Slow Cooker Recipe

Ingredients

·      Beef (original recipe was with pork but I substituted beef)
·      24 ounces of Dr. Pepper (2 cans)
·      1 onion cut in quarters and halved
·      2 garlic cloves minced
·      1 ½ teaspoons dry mustard
·      ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
·      Salt and pepper to taste
·      ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
·      3 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
·      BBQ sauce of choice

Instructions
·      Place chopped onions in the bottom of the slow cooker. Next. Place the beef on the top of the onions. Add garlic, ground mustard, cayenne peeper, salt pepper, apple cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce. Poor two cans of Dr. Pepper on top.
·      Cook for 4-5 hours on high or 8 hours on low. I did 8 hours on low
·      Next I removed the meat and then added the BBQ sauce and cut the meat.

·      I had it sit in the bbq sauce for about 10-20 minutes and then served as a sandwich
