Summer's End

I cannot believe how fast this summer has gone. I feel that time seems to be moving faster and faster. This summer was fun, full of its ups and downs. In June, I finished my last class from my Masters of Liberal Studies degree, while this fall I work on my final capstone paper. The paper is due in December and then I will be finished with the degree. In June, I started my headquarters placement at Junior League. I have gone on Thursdays through the end of September. Also, the summer brought some fun trips.

In July, we went to Memphis to pick up our puppy, Scout. She has been so much fun to have and watch her grow and learn new things over the past month and a half. I cannot see life without her. Right now, we are going through the biting stage. I am ready for this part of puppy stage to be over, I know it will be finished sooner than later. She has been a great addition to our family and I am so glad that we have her.

July also brought a trip to El Dorado, Arkansas for a family friends wedding. It was a cute town and fun to see all of our Dallas friends make the journey.

August, we traveled to San Miguel, Mexico for my cousin, Weldon's wedding. It was such a fun trip. My Mom rented a bed and breakfast called Casa Flordia. We had fun walking around and shopping. The whole trip we walked everywhere we went. It was fun being in a different country and experiencing new things together as a family. The wedding was beautiful. It did rain the night of the wedding. The coolest thing we did was participate in a wedding parade. That is something they do down there that consists of following the wedding guests and a donkey and large paper mache bride and groom characters around the city. It was really fun. Don't think I have gone from hot to cold is such a short time before.

So that about sums up the summer of 2015. One more trip in the books and then we are ready for fall. I cannot believe September will be here on Tuesday.
