"You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing which you think you cannot do." - Eleanor Roosevelt

pre-marital class part 5
Last night, we went to our fifth pre marital class. The topic was finances. They gave us a work sheet to work on which will help with starting those conversations that are so important. Also, the whole class played a game where we had 4 balls and had to throw them around the group. If one or more of the balls collided with each other then everyone had to sit down and come up with something that would work as a group. Our group worked pretty well together. It was an interesting game that showed how when you are married you are juggling so many different things and how communication and working as a team will help the best instead of placing blame. It was a fun activity and I feel we both learned a lot from this exercise. Next week we will have a panel of couples who have been married for different amounts of time, and we are going to ask them questions and hear from them on marriage.
