BIkes

Sunday, Ben and I had a great time. I woke up and went over to Ben's and we rode bikes on the Katy Trail. Ben put a computer thing on my bike that tells how fast you are riding and how many miles you have ridden. I loved looking at it and seeing how fast or slow I was going. Also, loved seeing how far we were riding. We love to ride on the Katy Trail and in the Texas heat it is best to go in the morning before it gets SO hot. So, we went at about 8:15 or so and got back about an hour later. We rode a total of 6.16 miles. As we ride more we find it easier to go farther. We went from Ben's place to the Katy Trail all the way down to the American Airlines Center. It was fun to ride down. We have decided riding down to the American Airlines Center is much easier than going back. Going back there is more of a hill that you notice. But it is so much fun. Also, fun to see all the different people on their bikes, rollerblades, walking or running. The most interesting thing I have seen was a man riding his bike and toting what I thought was a kid behind him. When I got a better look I saw that he had his dog in the seat. It was the funniest thing I have ever seen. Also I love stopping at the as I call them break areas, a lot of benches with water fountains. Going on the Katy Trail I really feel that you can not even tell you are in the City and there are great trees around for lots of shade! So much fun.

I hear that the city is trying to connect the Katy Trail to White Rock Lake. This should be interesting if they do it. I do know that the Katy Trail is being expanded. I would love to ride around White Rock Lake someday. Something to look forward too and work up too as well.
